What does golf mean to you?  Why do you play?
Golf is a chance for me to decompress, stay active, and meet people. It’s a chance for me to set personal goals and constantly get better. It also allows me to feel connected with my late dad, who was a teaching pro and passed the game onto me.

What does golf mean to you?  Why do you play?
Golf for me is life. I can’t stop thinking about it. I love the mental challenge golf gives me. I am fortunate enough that my wife and my 2 kids (10/9) enjoy the game, so it becomes a family event. I also love getting a group of close friends and playing the game. Whether it’s a skins game or 2v2 scramble. Just great outdoor fun.

The bar cart knows me by name at Duntroon Highlands (South Georgian Bay).
What does golf mean to you?  Why do you play?
Golf is versatile. Good for any mood.  Solo rounds can be as amazing as a round with friends, family or 3 strangers. Every round is a blank slate. If your fourth putt sneaks in side door, your second mulligan is a monster down the middle or you chip in for double bogey you can still celebrate like Tiger on Sunday. No matter who you are and how long you have played you have great shots, miracle shots and gross, humbling shots. All of them keep me coming back for more.
